How We Help
We provide trauma therapy for adults and teens who have experienced difficult, overwhelming, or life altering events that have left a lasting impact on how they think, feel, and move through the world. This includes childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), relationship trauma, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, neglect, domestic violence, grief and loss, sudden or traumatic bereavement, accidents, medical trauma, and other deeply distressing experiences. Trauma does not always look the way people expect. For many, it shows up as hypervigilance, difficulty trusting others, emotional numbness, intrusive memories, nightmares, trouble concentrating, chronic stress, or a persistent feeling that something is wrong even when life looks okay on the outside. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (C-PTSD) are real, recognized, and treatable, and you do not have to keep trying to push through your symptoms.
Our trauma informed therapists take a gentle, paced approach to healing. We help clients understand how trauma affects the brain and body, recognize patterns and triggers, develop healthy coping skills and emotional regulation strategies, and begin to process experiences that may have felt too painful or too big to look at directly. Depending on your needs and history, your therapist may draw on approaches such as trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), somatic awareness, or mindfulness based practices to support your healing.
We understand that recovering from trauma is not about forgetting what happened or pretending it did not affect you. It is about helping you process your experiences at a pace that feels safe, rebuild a sense of trust in yourself and others, reconnect with your own strength and resilience, and move forward with greater confidence, stability, and a deep knowing that you can make it through. Healing is possible.
All sessions are available online in English or Spanish, so you can access trauma support from the privacy and comfort of your own space, without having to travel or sit in a waiting room.
